FAQ
-
Do you tutor any age?Yes! I have tutored children in Year 1 and assisted them with reading and phonics right up to retired businessmen and women to prepare for speeches or important meetings.
-
How long should I have tuition? How long is a piece of string? It completely depends on your goals and what you wish to achieve. Some clients choose to have a "crash course" to prepare for something specific, like a meeting or an exam. Others see tuition as a long term adventure. Some of my longest clients have been with me for over five years and I've been fortunate enough to be with them through many imortant milestones in their education and development.
-
How long is a lesson? An hour minimum is recommended to allow unrushed time for homework / coursework checking, working through skils, clarifying and application. However, lessons can last as long as is required with breaks. As all lessons are tailor made and based on the individual student's needs, it is entirely up to you!
-
Do you offer discounts?Discounts are applied when booking lessons in bulk and there is a discounted price for group lessons. All details of any discounts can be found in the "Book A Lesson page here.
-
I've never tried 1-1 tuition before ... What if I don't like it?I always recommend booking a quick 15 minute consultation so we can get to know each other, assess your child's needs and see how I will approach your child's tuition. If after a couple of lessons you feel it is not for you, then we can discuss a refund, though I have never experienced this!
-
Do you offer lessons in person?I can offer lessons in person, though with current Covid regulations and the numbers in the pandemic it is safer for both my clients and for myself to deliver lessons online. I'm able to offer lessons in person if it is within travelling distance.
